Remove excess oil: Abaca leaf absorbs oil without disturbing makeup or stripping skin of essential moisture.
Impart glow: 23-karat gold adds a subtle shimmer to skin.
Featured Ingredients
Abaca Leaf: Abaca Leaf's high absorbency capabilities help remove excess oil from skin. The innermost part of the Abaca Leaf, where fibers are velvety-soft, is smoothed into whisper-thin sheets for the highest efficacy and most luxurious feel.
Gold: 23-karat gold will crush on application and impart a subtle gleam to the skin, one that mica and other inexpensive optical agents simply cannot replicate. It lends an incandescence that flatters any skin tone.

ABACA LEAF, GOLD FLAKES
For a petal-fresh complexion, gently pat a single leaflet anywhere there is excess oil. Do not rub or wipe. Use both sides of each sheet and discard after use.
The Story of Aburatorigami
For centuries, gold artisans in Kyoto have long used abaca leaf paper to protect the precious gold they hammered into whisper-thin leafing. Geisha discovered these papers were incredibly soft, strong and absorbent, and repurposed these papers to wick away traces of oil without disturbing their exquisite makeup or stealing moisture from their skin. This simple yet elegant beauty secret became the Original Aburatorigami, Tatcha’s very first rediscovery.
